Koi CBD manufactures its products in a cGMP facility (certified Good Manufacturing Practices), which means they follow a set of strict regulations and guidelines enforced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure that their products are safe, pure, and effective.

In addition, those facilities are ISO Certified, which is a rigorous and grueling set of very specific quality control guidelines, which requires every single employee, every single step, from seed to consumer to be monitored, documented and tested!

ISO Certification is the crown jewel of quality control!

Based on information from several Koi representatives, Koi is utilizing USDA Certified Organic hemp from Oregon but for some reason, fall short of stating that information on their website. However, Koi's Third-Party lab results clearly indicate that zero pesticides are present in the products they produce

NOTE: Currently we do not penalize any brand for using non-certified organic hemp as the backlog for USDA certification is long and expensive. Most CBD brands grow or purchase hemp in the United States where the farming practices follow the very same stringent procedures as "Certified Organic USDA hemp"

Koi CBD employs CO2 extraction, recognized by most as the standard for CBD extraction.

Though more expensive, CO2 extraction is one of the safest, most efficient methods of extracting CBD from the hemp plant, which ensures the potency and purity of a product.

CO2 extraction is used by the best CBD brands, when quality and volume is critical. The top 9 CBD brands all use CO2 extraction!

Koi CBD & Koi Naturals employs third-party testing or Certificates of Analysis (COAs) of all its products, which are accessible in their footer menus of its website, as well in each of their product descriptions.

A few of Koi's COAs vary in complexity. Some comprise of a single sheet with basic data, while others present multiple pages, displaying an extensive array of analyses, which exceeded even our expectations.

Nonetheless, these variances can present challenges and confusion when attempting to qualify a particular product of interest. All COAs should be consistent, extensive in detail and easily accessible on a brands website

Slight Improvements to the brands COAs will not only provide Koi with a little more transparency, it will be crucial in meeting the new regulatory requirements coming soon!

We're getting wiser about our CBD and we want to know that the product we rely on for our wellness is of the highest quality possible.

Koi CBD does not boast any awards they may have received since their inception back in 2015. However, they are members of the following:

• US Hemp Roundtable.

• The Hemp Industries Association.

• California Hemp Council.

While maybe not as an impressive list as some of its competitors, Koi appears to be doing everything with the very best of intentions for its products and its customers!

• USDA Organic Certification: Certified by the USDA as an organic hemp grower.

• GMP Certification: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) ensures the quality and safety of its products.

• ISO Certification: In speaking with a customer service representative, Koi claims they are ISO certified, which is an international standard for quality management systems.

However, and we know this personally, receiving ISO certification is exhausting, expensive and something to be very proud of! For some reason, Koi doesn't mention this certification on their website..

Koi CBD has been an easy brand to review, yet we have dedicated more resources to this brand than any other of the dozens of companies we've reviewed over the last several years. Simply due to the amount of data available out there.

While slightly outdated (they are still referencing COVID as being an issue) Koi has an abundant, data rich website thats easy to navigate and filled with the information most customers are looking for.

The company prominently display's links to their data-rich COAs, in multiple locations throughout their website.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS:

This is where Koi really shines! Multiple avenues are available to communicate with the company.

We instantly received information back when asking questions on their "Chat Box" and, on 3 separate occasions, a Koi representative answered the phone within a couple rings, quickly and professionally answering all our questions.

Each customer service person we spoke with, was well-versed in where everything was on their website and clearly understood the CBD market.

This was one of our best customer service experiences in over a year! Kudos to Koi and their amazing team!
