Five is one of those up and coming brands that need to make themselves more transparent if they plan to remain relevant in the highly competitive world of CBD. 

Five is owned by Medterra, the 2nd largest CBD brand in the world. A brand who clearly understands the importance of transparency and who displays it in full view on their website. So it’s unclear why Five deviates so dramatically away from this core responsibility.

While Five’s marketing is excellent and their products appear to be of high quality, their transparency and customer service is severely lacking!

If Medterra can influence Five in the very near future, we believe Five is a brand to keep an eye on!

Our Review of Five

  • Manufacturing: ★★

    Very little information can be found about Five. Their website is void of any meaningful information with respect to their manufacturing processes.


    When we finally had the opportunity to swap emails with Five, we were told that its products are manufactured in a cGMP faciity but we have nothing to verify that claim

  • Awards & Certifications: ★

    We were unsuccessful in finding any awards or certifications for Five. Nothing has been reported on their website

  • Methods of Extraction: ★★★★★

    The brand employs CO2 extraction. Though this method is more expensive, CO2 extraction is one of the safest, most efficient methods of extracting CBD from the hemp plant, to ensure the potency and purity of a product.


    CO2 extraction is used by the best CBD brands, when quality and volume is most critical. The top 9 CBD brands all use CO2 extraction!

  • Farming Practices: ★★

    Based on the information we found throughout the internet but not on their own website, Five supposedly uses only organic hemp for all of its CBD products.


    Unfortunately we found very little information with respect to the brands farming practices to know what the brand is doing or what type of hemp they use, and, whether its purchased from Organic US. farms or possibly outside the US.


    It does not appear that the company is using USDA Certified Hemp. However, CBD Brand Review does not penalize a brand for non-USDA certified hemp at this time


    Most CBD brands grow or purchase hemp in the United States where the farming practices follow the very same stringent procedures as "Certified Organic USDA hemp"

  • Testing Procedures: ★★★★★

    All of Five's products are third-party tested by multiple labs across the country. When CBD Brand Review evaluated Five's COAs, we were very impressed with the detail of testing the brand requires! What's most amazing is the depth of Five's testing! While many companies test for the basics; pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, and bacteria, with many providing only pass/fail results, Five includes, highly-detailed results for the following:

    ★ Mycotoxins - ★ Cannabinoids

    CBD Brand Review evaluates 100's of COA's throughout the year and we rarely see any CBD brand test in as great of detail as Five.

    Five makes the following claim on their product packaging: "Transparency is our core value" yet we were surprised to see how little information about the company actually exists on their website!


    The company's "About Us" page says nothing about who they are, how they manufacture, what certifications they hold or even the type of hemp they use. This review is identical to a review back in 2021 by CBD Oracle


    Having said that, Five does provide exceptional COAs

  • RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES WITH FIVE

    Recently we tried Five's Full Spectrum CBD + THC (25mg CBD /5mg THC+ 2mg melatonin) Sleep Gummy. They arrived within a few days of our order, in a round, low-profile, child-proof container, inside a generic bubble-wrap envelope. Inside were a variety of colorful sugar-coated gummies, which have a light pungent fragrance (terpenes) synonymous with hemp.


    These gummies have excellent flavor and honestly, we tried them for 30 nights straight. Every night we were ready to pass out in 10-15 minutes! Needless to say, they work!
